Glee's Chris Colfer In Movie Debut - Trailer

Glee star Chris Colfer stars in new movie 'Struck By Lightning', his first venture onto the big screen.

The actor, who plays Kurt in the hit musical TV series, also wrote the script for the film.

He plays a teenage high school student who is killed when he suffers the titular injury. Looking back on his life, he recalls how he blackmailed his classmates into working on a new literary magazine, hoping to improve his chances of getting into a journalism school.

Co-starring alongside him is Sarah Hyland from Modern Family, Alison Janney and Christina Hendricks.

Dermot Mulroney also appears.

Colfer's Glee-mates have also been making transitions into movies, with Lea Michele appearing in 'New Year's Eve' and Cory Monteith in 'Monte Carolo'.

'Struck By Lightning' is in post-production and will be released later this year.
