Ed Sheeran calmly carries on after a fan invades the stage during Perth gig

A little thing like a stage invasion won't put Ed off.

Ed Sheeran showed that he won't let anything stop him from playing, as he saw off a stage invader at one of his Australian shows.

Security guards had to intervene and remove a person from the stage after they managed to get backstage and then onto the stage itself at the show on Saturday (3 March), as reported by Perth Now.

During the sold-out show at Optus Stadium in Perth, Ed looked confused as the person approached him and shook his hand.

The singer then said: "I think you have to get off stage now", before the intruder was wrestled away.

Ed barely missed a beat, as while the fan was being hauled off stage, the musician asked the crowd how they were doing before introducing the final song of the night.

He obviously wasn't fazed, as he later posted a photo of himself posing in front of the crowd to Instagram.

Ed is currently on the Australian leg of his grueling Divide world tour, after which he'll head to New Zealand and the Philippines.

The singer recently picked up a BRIT Award for Global Success, but the moment was slightly overshadowed by the fact that Sir Elton John apparently couldn't pronounce his name.
